Prophets of Addiction (USA) - Reunite the Sinners

In the heyday of glam metal were Guns N 'Roses, Motley Crue and Poison the first names that they thought. In the category of bands in terms of popularity remained just below, was Pretty Boy Floyd. Lesli Sanders is coming from that band and he now performs Prophets of Addiction to. The US band has all the elements of glam rock (including tiger prints, makeup and hairspray) again conjured up and took 'Reunite the Sisters' ... oh, excuse me, "Reunite the Sinners" , that on April 15 via Mighty Music will appear. "As We Fall" sounds good in terms of production and not simply beaten. Just drums, two guitars and bass and vocals of Sanders. The catchy chorus intones still in the mind of the listener, as the band starts with "Welcome to the Show", which has slightly more balls than the opener of the plate. The sleazy guitar riffs combine with "Sex, Drugs and Rock 'n Roll" -zinnetje from the refrain that there may be a party. While "Kings and Queens" begins, I must immediately think of "Space Oddity" by David Bowie. In the verses that include the vocal lines have something of way, but in the chorus the band sounds again as Prophets of Addiction. The track features a guest solo by CC DeVille (Poison). The band's influences lie with The Ramones, Hanoi Rocks, New York Dolls and Dead Boys, just to name a few. "Razor's Edge" and "Spare the Bullets" are simple, but otherwise fine sleaze-rock songs. "Postcards from the Grave" has a great beat and a fantastic text ... good song! The band is not only better for the party work, because in "Heart of Mine" Sanders sings a few notes lower, making the song that sounds darker and different from the rest of the plate. Valve "Exist" is not the saccharine ballad that actually was missing, because Sanders sings in a way that comes across some tragic. Surprising number one glam rock band. At a time when sleazy hairspray bands no longer appear on the cover of music magazines and releases in the subgenre in his one hand counting is 'Reunite the Sinners' may not even be timed so crazy.
